The vet clinic next door is Saanichton Village Veterinary Hospital — same plaza, same co-owner. People often ask us medical questions and ask them retail ones, so here's who to go to for what.

Saanichton Village Veterinary Hospital
Anything medical — illness, injury, vaccinations, dental, surgery, medication or a second opinion on your pet's health — is theirs, not ours. We can point you their way, but we can't book you in or give medical advice.
Their own site lists what they do, keeps their hours current and takes appointment and prescription requests, so it's the place to go rather than a copy of it here.
One that catches people out: the clinic does trim nails, but only as a complimentary extra while a pet is already under anaesthetic for surgery. For a routine trim with your pet awake and no appointment, that's us — walk in Mon–Fri, 10am–2pm.

Village Pets is owned by Dr. Angela Frost, who has also been co-owner of Saanichton Village Veterinary Hospital — right next door in the same plaza — since 2013, where she looks after training and the running of the hospital. Having a veterinarian on the ownership side is why the shelves look the way they do.
We carry food, treats and accessories for dogs and cats, hand-picking what goes on our shelves rather than stocking whatever ships cheapest. Walk-in nail trims run Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm, and full grooming comes back seasonally — join the list and we'll call you.

Usually, yes. If your pet is on something we don't carry, ask us — special orders are a regular part of what we do, and we'll let you know how long it takes to come in.
